The process of replacing the entire fleet of Reach Stackers, planned for the first half of 2016, is well underway. In the photo you can see the first three that have arrived from the CVS company.
The new machines are safer and more eco-sustainable thanks to a series of new features.
The safety features worth noting include the new sprinkler fire-safety system that activates automatically in case of an emergency. The vehicle operator is also supported by two video cameras. One is installed on the arm to help position the “20” type containers in the first slot on the ground. The second camera activates automatically when the vehicle is put in reverse to allow a greater vision of the area behind. While reversing the vehicle is further helped by an anti-collision system similar to the one installed in cars.
On an environmental level the Stackers have a D4 type engine with “Adblu” and lock-up transmission to help reduce the fuel consumption and emissions of the product.
