The PSA Italy terminals work as a team. An example is the recent “combined” processing of the CMA CGM Scandola. This container ship, 366 m long and 51 m wide, first called at PSA SECH to unload the imported freight and soon afterwards docked at PSA Genova Pra’ to load the export freight. In this way, operational times were optimized and a new record established, because the CMA CGM Scandola is the first ship of 15K TEU to dock at the PSA SECH terminal, confirming that shipping companies have a very interesting option within the basin of Genova’s “Porto Vecchio”. PSA Italy’s objective is becoming increasingly clear: the creation of synergies between its terminals that serve the city.
