The Genova Pra’ terminal recently hosted a delegation from the Customs and Monopoly Agency. The visit falls under the technical examinations necessary for fulfilling the plan to digitalize customs procedures in ports.
With this initiative, the agency intends to contribute to the development of traffic in ports with the use of advanced technology and by simplifying the work of operators. The objective is to reach an uninterrupted logistics chain in which, for example, goods that clear customs at sea can quickly pass through the port thanks to gate automation, arriving at their destination along a fast corridor.
The Genova Pra’ terminal, always thinking about its clients and stakeholders with whom it interacts daily, has enthusiastically welcomed the Agency’s initiative, a big step forward for the modernization of sea transport in Italy and which will add further value to the services of national stopovers.
