PSA Italy continues its expansion towards the international markets with a new railway link to Austria. In fact, from the 7th February the “Southern Express” train, which directly links the PSA Genova Pra’ terminal to Basel, now extends its reach with a new connection to and from Wolfurt, an industrial area in the Voralberg region. The train will make three return journeys a week with a transit time between Wolfurt and Genova that is particularly interesting.
Fabio Bucchioni, PSA Italy Supply Chain Manager, states: “PSA Italy is now able to offer a new intermodal connection between Eastern Austria and the terminals of PSA Genova Pra’ and PSA SECH, and creates a new solution to link global markets, based on competitive and reliable transit times, as well as on integrated management of the entire sea-land flow. That’s what Cargo Solutions is about.”
